Vickie started her career as a qualified mental health nurse in 1997 and has worked across a wide range of settings and with patients of all ages across the lifespan, meaning that her expertise is underpinned by extensive clinical experience.
She has worked in leadership roles and also as a trainer and lecturer supporting nursing and other health and social care students in developing their practice and knowledge of mental health.
Vickie is passionate about safe, effective and high-quality care, which has driven her career in the direction that it has followed. Vickie is also passionate about equality, diversity and inclusivity, and reducing health inequalities in mental health care, and has consistently advocated for people from marginalised groups to ensure that they receive equitable care and support.
